EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I guess I'll give my update. I don't know if I told you all before but my husband was laid off from the railroad at the end of 2019. I went from stay at home mom back to working seasonally. It was a rough time but God had our backs. He got called back in early 2023 but I love my job so yeah, not letting it go. DS graduated high school in '23 and just recently decided he's going in to the Air Force. DD graduates this year. She has 5 college courses under her belt and will get 1 or 2 more taken care of this summer. She's been accepted to every college she's applied to so far but is waiting to hear back from Cornell. She won't know till March but that's her dream school and we're all praying for good news. I've dramatically downsized my flock over the years. I'm down to 7 turkeys, 2 geese, 1 muscovy duck, and about 11 chickens all in 1 coop. A lot of them are getting rather old now. My oldest turkey hen turns 10 this spring, my one tom, Romeo, has to be around 7 now, and several of my chickens are just out there to retire since they're too old to lay anymore. I do have some young blood in the brooders right now (silkies, show girls, satins and frizzles). They're old enough to be off heat and outside but I want to get the coop cleaned out good before I move them out which might be a while since everything is still frozen.

Happy Birthday, @daxigait
