This little one is the smallest of my friends 6 that I've been raising for her. One of the 6 is already confirmed cockerel. This ones tail is looking a bit wild. Also noticed some green/purple highlights .

What are we looking at here? This bird is very young still. We have development.... Im sad
This one's been fighting a lot with the confirmed cockerel of the bunch. I've been told the red on the shoulder was a definite rooster trait ? The confirmed cockerel has developed a lot more red in the week since I posted himShe's showing the red color developing on the wings. Don't get discouraged. It's always a safer bet to wait a bit with Easter Eggers before confirming male or female
That color is indicative of a cockerel... basically, female Easter eggers usually have a more uniform or flowing color pattern to their feathers. Males will have random bursts of color-especially a rust/reddish in the shoulders. This one's been fighting a lot with the confirmed cockerel of the bunch.
