i just got these EEs and keep going back and forth if the brown ones are pullets or cockerels. thoughts??
supposed to be around 6 months old. no eggs yet but i’ve seen the black one i got with them (who is definitely a hen) crow so i don’t think that’s the most reliable haha.

can take more pics but this is what i have at the moment

The brown one centered in the 1st photo does look like it has male specific feathering but the photos of the other brown one and the black one aren't clear enough to make a determination. 6 months old should be close to laying so the combs being redder wouldn't necessarily be an indicator. Need better photos of the feathers around the neck and tail.

the black one has rounded feathers where saddle feathers would be which is what makes me think it’s a hen

The gold/red indicating male usually show up on the wings and shoulders. I'm leaning toward pullet for the black one.

I do see some shiny pointy feathering on the brown ones and believe they are cockerels.

But since they're already 6 months, I would wait to hear a crow or see an egg to get confirmation.
