I feel really stupid asking this question, but curious minds want to know.

When I butcher my meat birds, I only observe one orifice on the rear end of the bird. So, this leads me to the question; Does the egg and poop travel the same path?

They only come out the same opening at the end. Completely different paths until then.

Well, where is the female reproductive path in a chicken, or for that matter a rooster? What makes this so funny is that I work in the medical field and have done full-body cadaver dissection. But (no pun intended), I can't figure out this chicken thing? LOL

The internal systems for making the eggs and making the poop are different (thank God!), but chickens only have one external opening, which is called the vent. So, the eggs and the poop both come out of the one and same hole, it's true! Yum yum, huh?

Also, for roosters, there is only one opening, which is also called the vent.

No vaginal opening, sad to say. Haven't watched Fried Green Tomatoes?

"I don't understand that man, won't sit next to a colored child but he'll eat eggs, come straight out a chicken's a$$!"
