Egg bound?

Ok I will. Should I continue to check on her through the night?

I crushed the calcium in scrambled egg and she ate most of it so almost a full tablet.
I’m terrified for her. When I was out there last with the red light it seemed like her interior vent tissue was in the way of anything to be able to come out but a small amount of poop did pass. She looked like she was pushing pretty hard. Is this normal?
Is she prolapsed?

Nothing is in the outside yet but when she pushed hard I’d say it’s possible? I’ve never seen the vent when they are laying so I guess I’m not sure
OK, yes, you will see some tissue when they push.

It's good that nothing is hanging out.

At about 1:43 it begins. If you are seeing something similar, then it's normal, even if you aren't seeing an egg. It sounds like she pushing to expel an egg, a membrane or something, so, just give her time, don't feel inside the vent, let her work it.

Ok looked pretty similar but no egg tip. More swollen on the bottom but not by much
If anything does hang out I pull her inside to a brooder and use sugar? And keep her from pecking at it? Just want to be able to act swiftly. If she can’t pass the egg what do I expect for tomorrow?

Give her Calcium once daily.

Yes, if she does prolapse and the tissue stays out, then keep the tissue coated with ointment, oil, honey, sugar, etc. so it doesn't dry out.
Separating her if she prolapses is essential so the others do not pick at the tissue, this can cause a lot of damage. She may or may not pick at it. If she's picking at it, then you can put a t-shirt over her to help protect the tissue, but if she leaves it alone, then that's good.

Ok got it! Being that the previous eggs were soft and one that was huge and really weird shaped then another soft I’m assuming this one is large and has some shell to it.

How is she doing now?

Did she lay an egg?

Yes, with her having problems with the large one, then a soft one, etc. I'd definitely give the Extra Calcium for a full 7 days to see if that helps her out.

She was much better today. She did lay an egg the one above on the purple glove. It was very thin enlongated -
she worked hard until 4 this morning and then I finally got to sleep lol.
I gave calcium again today in eggs so maybe she will lay again tonight? We will see!

I'm glad she's better today.
I wasn't sure if that was the one she was working on yesterday or another one.
It's good that she was able to lay that.

Just keep the Calcium going and see how it goes.
