Egg candlers

Just wondering if anyone else has made their own egg candler. I made one tonight out of an old lamp and coffee can. I haven't started incubating any eggs yet, but it looks like it will work ok.

I took one of those flashlights that you can get with battery pack drills (ryobi). Then some tin foil bubble wrap insulation. Made a tube that fit over the light, placed a circle with a hole in the middle, duct taped it together. I can even see into dk eggs. most of the time. plus its portable, you dont need to plug it in.

Very cool. I put a light socket in a wooden box then added a hole in the side of the box. It works but yours looks so much better!
