deflated like a balloon is more a soft shell situation, and totally normal when they're figuring out this whole egg production thing and getting the increased calcium on board. when my lydia had her first egg, it was completely without a shell, so just the albumen and yolk. everyone enjoyed that one, which is how i found out about it. her next one was more like a reptile egg, kinda weirdly rubbery with no albumen. but it had a shell...kinda now they're just slightly smaller than everyone else's and otherwise only remarkable because they're such a dark brown.
