My barred rock hen has been singing the egg song for a month now and no eggs. They aren't free range and there isn't many places to hide. I've checked everywhere. Plus, she sits in the coop and sings! My leghorn started laying the day she started the egg song. I love hearing it, though. Even when my older ladies (Australorps) start singing, I get a smile on my face. I love the sound of the making my breakfast!

You almost want to just put it into a basket on the kitchen table and look at it. We are waiting for our first one, to eat it will be a special day. Hum!
