I'm thinking about constructing a wall mounted egg skelter like those in the pictures below. However, I'm having difficulty finding instructions or measurements to guide my plans. Does anyone here have instructions for something similar that they can share? How deep should it be? How do I prevent breakage when the eggs drop from one level to the next?

Even just some information about things that worked or didn't would be helpful.

I don't think they'll break because they don't actually "drop" from one level to the next, they roll. Look carefully at the picture, there is no gap between the eggs from one level to the next. Measurements will be important.
