Eggbound Chicken... Gross Pic

I just started worming them with Wazine a few days ago, like I said earlier, I'm new to this, and would do anything to keep my hens healthy. Is this worm medicine good?How do I know if they got enough? how often? Is there anything else in maintaining a healthy little flock?
Brownie (my previously eggbound chicken) seems to be doing very well, eating, drinking, squawking, acting like herself...but no egg today.Thanks for the tips!

Wazine only kills roundworms, but it's probably a good place to start.

I use fenbendazole 10%, liquid or paste (Safeguard/Panacur) and dose by mouth at 50mg/kg ( .5ml/kg) and repeat in ten days. It is also used on pet birds, pigeons, doves, kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, foals, horses, cows, goats, llamas, sheep, etc, but at different mg/kg - It's *very* safe!

Other people use Ivermectin (Ivomec) and Albendazole (Valbazen).

Thanks for the advice. Putting the Wazine in their water is very difficult to gauge how much each hen has consumed. I am much more comfortable dosing each of them individually. Does Tractor Supply carry this fenbendazole?

Yes, they sell it as paste for horses or liquid for goats/cattle.

do chickens have to be wormed regularly? I have had my chickens for several years and have never wormed them. I have a mixture of 6 hens and one rooster. I have no idea what the breeds are. I have never had any problems with my chickens UNTIL now. I have one red hen that is hunched over. She even allows me to pick her up which in itself if unusual. I felt around her belly but have not been able to find anything to tell me she is eggbound. One hen has been laying a very weak shelled egg for the past week and we didn't know which one it was. Today I picked her up and the poor thing is still all hunched over, her belly is swollen and I still do not find an egg shape when I feel around. I even gently put my little finger into her vent to see if I could feel an egg stuck in there. I am new to this site so I am hoping someone can help me and answer whatever questions you can.

According to a study, I read the most effective Valbazen dose is 20mg/kg by mouth, which is ~.2ml per 2.2 pounds. Repeat in ten days.
