Hello,
My duck eggs are on day 23 roughly and one egg started wriggling and moving when I talk. I know this is the duckling getting into position but the air cell is still pretty small. I'm running them on low humidity to increase the air cell but with lockdown coming up I am hesitant to increase humidity incase the air cell is too small still.

Any advice? Thanks x

Don't worry so much about the air cell size right now.
Air cells don't get large until a day or two before hatching time.

Not a week before.

Do you have a salt tested humidity gauge?

Hello, I don't have a humidity gage. I have had many successful hatches just by monitoring humidity based on the size of the air cell but this time I was away on holiday and didn't check as much.

Should I still up the humidity on day 25?

Thank you x

What has your humidity level been at so far?

I don't up the humidity until I see an external pip.

I have no way of reading the humidity. There are two water channels in the center of my incubator, one is smaller. I keep the small one topped up the whole way through and the large one gets filled up at lockdown .

Will a lower humidity make it harder for them to internally pip?
