Emu Birthday Today

I feel bad: been busy, and some unfortunate problems here. (And my Fortress of Emu Solitude is at this very second being logged.)

But today is Emu Birthday. It's my own invention -- 'cause wild emus are hatching plus-minus today. The chicks here are one today. And all across the continent, cheepers are battling their way out of eggs, and heading off with their Dads to find water and food.
