Does the age of an emu egg matter? If so, is there any way to see the age of an emu egg without destroying it? Thanks.
 
I would certainly think age matters, just like old chicken eggs aren't likely to hatch.
Candling eggs works with chicken eggs because at certain points you can see the embryo developing. Emu eggs are much to thick and dark to see anything. I believe
they determine the viability of the embryo by the amount of weight the egg loses in incubation.
