Erminette Breed?

In many mottled birds color comes in with adult feathers at 3-5 months. It can intensify after each adult molt. So you need to wait for the spots.
I know technically they aren't mottled, but I believe they follow the same pattern for developing color as mottled birds, so that's why I called it that. If they don't, than I learned something new.
If you knew they weren't mottled you should of mentioned that in the first post.
I don't see the point in mentioning mottled if you knew they werent. That's just confusing the OP or others that would see this thread later.
They don't follow the same pattern for developing color at all like a mottled bird.
Mottled birds are hatched with a lot of black. Mostly black on top and white on bottom. They then evolve into black birds with the white feather tips or splotches.
These birds have about zero in common with that. And that's very noticeable from the pics. There's no waiting for the spots because there's going to be no spots on the white ones.

Because than you couldn't come and berate me for incorrect terminology. :idunno

Wasn't just terminology it was whole different set of genes that work completely differently.
If you would of said. My bad I thought it was mottling. That would of been all good but to say I knew it wasn't mottling but hey that's what I'll call it and go with how that works.
That's not helping out that's misguiding and confusing.

Hi!

I’m Not sure of the breed but I don’t have to be an expert to tell you that they are adorable! They posed so perfectly for the camera!

As of now, they look like pullets to me although, it could be the camera angle but, I am a little skeptical about two of them. Could be the camera angle. Pretty sure that they are pullets.

Beautiful and Adorable!

This breed is not mottled.
They are one copy of dominate white over black.
Well that's what the correct patterned ones are.
Problem is you can't breed true for the pattern.
The breeding produces the correct pattern as well as pure white and pure black birds. If you breed the white birds to the blacks you get 100% correct pattern. Looks like you have two of the whites and one correct one.
These are the same pattern and breed the same as paint silkies.
My thoughts as well.

Here they are at age 6 weeks. Thoughts on gender? Looks like 2 males? These were straight run.

@The Moonshiner, @sumi - adding both of you as you both have Erminette knowledge/experience.
