Everyone Post Your Pigeon Pics!!!!!

I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! I have raised pigeons all my life(63 years) and discovered this summer that the pigeons I have now love bread! I know feral pigeons in citys eat it but just never thought about giveing it to my purebreds. They can consume a loaf of french bread in no time! Apparently it does them no harm and is a good way to sneak in meds and vitamins!Plus its just plain relaxing, amuseing and fun to sit and watch them chow down! They can be hilarious witheir looks, behaviours and interactions. Highly recommended!

Thanks silkiecuddles, learning about genetics has been very useful in persuading my parents to let me get/hatch more birds :D .

White can hide other colors so you never know what you will get for sure when breeding solid white birds. A black male and an ash red female (which is what yours sounds like maybe) will have sex-linked babies, black/blue females and ash red males.

Here's a color calculator (the link is long) that is awesome!

Sorry if this is confusing, its late here so I'm kinda tired.
I couldn't figure out how to use the calculator, but I discovered something. With my black and white male and red:brown and white female, their main Colors for offspring is bluish white and black&white. The blues are always male, the b&w always female, so I've got them sex-linked now. :woot can someone explain how that happens?

I'll show of these beauties: my first two offspring from this summer, my Serbian highflier project. now fully molted with their grown up feathers. Proud mama here
