I'm in the process of turning a 8x10 (7ft h) shed into a coop. I do not have, nor do I plan to have, power run to the coop, so everything needs to be battery/solar powered.

I'm in southern Louisiana and the summers can be brutal and humid.

I found this on Amazon https://a.co/d/68CfM3H and I'm wondering if this would be enough. There is also a three fan kit https://a.co/d/hlWpTCw.

If there's a completely different/better option I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Can you cut huge holes in the shed and cover them with hardware cloth?
Think BIG windows that stay open year round.
I can, but I'm worried there won't be much of a breeze, unless it's raining.

I'm also thinking of taking down the barn style doors because the track keeps getting filled with leaves and dirt, which makes the door hard to close.

If I do that I could put in a hinged door with hardware cloth windows for circulation. They'd also be easy to cover during the winter, or bad weather.

Here is my post on a dyi solar powered ventilation for some ideas. It seems to move quite a bit of air. Link. It is still running after 10 years.

The amazon 2 fan one claims to move 360 CFM which is a lot of air.
I'm not so sure the Pc fans would hold up here with the humidity. I see in the end you swapped the 25 watt solar panel for and 80 watt, and added a battery pack . . are you still using the same fans?

This gave me a different idea though window fans. https://a.co/d/0rKh5Ks. I have some "power stations" I use when I bring my chicks outside and still need a brooder plate. https://a.co/d/0oDUhYC https://a.co/d/1ueEARh Do either of these have the power requirements needed to run either an exhaust fan or window fan? I know nothing about volts/amp/watts/ AC/DC (except those word, lol) so I won't fell insulted if you explain it to me like I'm in third grade, lol.

Here's the one we put in several years ago. We bought it to fit one of the windows. We also bought a vent for the human door that goes between the coop and the garden shed.

This is our only ventilation. Between the DIY nipple waterer and horse bedding pellets, plus this, there are no issues.
