My 3 yr old buff brahma molted insanely hard and fast. This morning I brought her inside because of the cold and I'm afraid she got way too cold overnight. I'm dealing with two primary issues.

1) I think her crop is impacted. I got her to take some olive oil and I've been massaging it firmly, but I don't know what else to do. I removed her food access. I watched some videos demonstrating a method of holding them upside down w/ a crop massage to force them to vomit, but she is so fragile my gut tells me the stress would be too much.

2) I think her feet might be injured from the cold. They were very cold when I brought her inside and I gave her a warm bath for about 10 minutes. Now they appear swollen and I think a blister has formed.

Please advise on the best course of action for the impacted crop and possible frostbite.

How cold was it where you live? She certainly looks rough but given time and TLC I think she will be okay. The frost bite issue, if there is one, doesn't look terribly severe but then they usually don't till later. I hear you can give them some epsom salt foot baths daily to help. Other than that you have to just wait for the body to heal itself. There are a few good frost bite threads on here that show what to do, I'd look into those.

For the compacted crop, why do you think it is impacted? Unless she had a crop full when she came off the roost I wouldn't worry just yet. Fast for the rest of the day (but provide water) and see how it is in the morning.

I would ask how she is acting but I'm assuming she probably don't want to move much with all those pin feathers coming in.

Her crop was full this morning when she came off the roost and it has remained big and full all day. She's also making some weird gurgling sounds, like it might be effecting her breathing.
