Extremely tame raccoon.

Dad has a momma coon that brings her babies up to the back deck to eat cat food every year (every new litter). You would think she was someone's pet. She will reach through the screen door if it is cracked to take food from his hand. Coons are very curious, smart critters. While dad feeds momma, I would advise that no one try it at home. She's been poking around her for 4 years. She will even run the deer out of the yard for the sweet feed he puts out (for the deer).

x2. racoons have no place on my deck or near the barn or coop. They carry a nasty roundworm and sometimes rabies, canine distemper, and leptospirosis. I trap and shoot any that volunteer to be at the coop or in the barn, and my dogs manage any in the back yard. Mary
