My hen's eye has been looking woozy for the last couple of days, she came down with a bad case of dry fowl pox (the other chickens have such slight scabs I thought they were just pecking injuries the last two weeks).

Hers are super obvious, poor thing has fowl pox bumps all over her comb. One of her eyes is fine and the other one was all woozy. We dabbed erythromycin ointment on it the other day, but now it just looks worse and is all crusted over. Should I just leave it alone or wash it with a warm saline and put on more antibiotic?

Could you post a picture of her eye and head? I would use a warm damp wash cloth and soften the drainage on her eye. Saline or eye wash works well too. Then apply the ointment 2-3 times a day. You may also use Terramycin ointment from the feed store or plain Neosporin/triple antibiotic if you run out.
