As these will be dual purpose crosses for processing, let's give them a fairytale!

Set some eggs Sunday. Have 16, am watching closely, have tested turner. When I candle day 5-7 I'll know better if I have duds. But it's a trial and error run.

Have used this incubator before. Kebonnixs. Really like this Christmas gift from my dad, readings are fairly accurate, have a Govee WiFi as well, with a few others we test with.

Buff Brahma heritage rooster over variety of our girls:
Buff Brahma, Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, Light Brahmas.
Check several eggs couple days before and 90% showed fertilized, so fingers crossed!

Here's to hatching! 🐣

Well...not writing any off yet but as it shows, all but maybe 3 or 4 (4th is an OE so it's darker and can't quite tell) with no development as of yet meaning they may not have been fertilized -- I say this bc we do have several girls to one roo who is still afraid of them lol.

Day 3? (Set them Sunday March 16)

I moved M1 down in replace of one that didn't show anything. Egggciting! (My kids were not thrilled lol)

I have 12 eggs in my incubator right now on day 16 and my kids are more excited over the hens out back then hatching eggs. Teens.

My older teens sort of gives me the eyes when I share my excitement lol but they do a lot for me while I'm at work (we homeschool).

Update: four on top are the ones that show no development.

Got a new flashlight to see inside the darker eggs. Hard to photograph though, but you can "just" see the peanut lol
