Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Can I do that?
My cat left a dead mouse in the garage. Do I just chuck it in the run?
Chickens are omnivorous and will gladly eat bits of meat as well as rodents and even snakes.

Make sure there's no way there's anything harmful on the mouse (you found it in the garage so ensure there's no oil or other contaminants) or that the mouse did not have access to pesticide treated plants and such.

I'm in the country and we don't spray anything so I know that rodents and such around here should be safe.

7+ hour power outage today. Never got an explanation as to what caused it, but 249 households were affected. Still, I didn't complain knowing what some people are going through still after Helene hit them.

First egg from the OEGB!!! It was in the Lemon Blue enclosure. Nothing yet from the Red Pyle.

Trying to save on feed costs. Let three of the scovie drakes out of the pen to free range during the day. Need to work on getting more of them out there. Not to sound cruel but these are the ones that will be culled in a couple of weeks so if a predator gets them it's not as big of a loss so far as my breeding plans go. It'd be a loss for my freezer though, and all the feed they've devoured.

I'd been keeping my 🤞 because of the weird colouring but saw The Curl this morning.

Here he is next to the obvious Pastel drake:
