Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Pics
So, I was looking up the genetics for Paint (chicken), and tried to put into a generator what the offspring would look like if I paired him with a Black Sex Link (Rudy) and can't get either one to come up.

Any ideas? I am TERRIBLE at chicken genetics!

Here's a pic of the lovely boy.

He's very pretty

Another chicken dead. :( In the same coop that the Silkie roo was in and the female chick. In fact, this was her brother. About three months old I'd say?

Same symptoms, or lack thereof. He was fine yesterday, as always the first out of the coop and to the food in the morning. Put them to bed without issues. This morning opened the coop door and he didn't come out. Checked inside and he was on his side looking dead. Took him out and he was still breathing, a gasp every five seconds or so but completely limp. An hour later he was dead.

The other two chickens in there seem fine, two hens, one is my older OEGB, and the other is a Cochin mix.

This seems to happen more at this time of year (ie, late summer early fall) although the pullet was only about a month old and died in summer. I have no idea what is causing it.

I should have done a necropsy on him but didn't.

Ended up moving the whole coop over. Right now it's just after 4 pm here and it looks like sunset as a storm rolls in. Lots of wind and thunder. It should be brief though and there are no weather alerts on, but I fed the birds early and brought in the geese.

Spilled a whole mug of tea earlier! It partially hit my mouse and laptop and I'm hoping there's not permanent damage. My desk is clean now though. >.>

Got an email about an upcoming auction on Saturday. Trying to figure out who I'm going to bring.

Thinking that the doe that abandoned her babies will be one of them (I got more young does so don't really need her) plus maybe one of my older does.

Definitely taking at least one, probably two, of the Call drakes. A Gray, and one of the pastels.

The three half-grown chicks I got at the livestock sale last month.

And MAYBE a drake and hen scovie pair, if I can find a large enough box.
