Falling Down Heights, my daily life

Pics
It's been raining and cold (and some snow yesterday!) for the past two days so I haven't done any outside work.

The geese were still being brats about their new house, so tonight I put up temporary walls (pallets, pieces of wood, even a feed bucket!) to keep them in the area once I chased them in for the night, and they went in with protest but a lot easier than the last few nights. I was getting really annoyed with Colt's refusals.

And, if you didn't see it in the LGBT thread, I set a bunch of eggs...

21 Lemon Blue OEGB ones, and 12 bantam ones (Isabel Cochin roo x Isabel-ish Silkie mix hen). Some of the eggs are a bit older so we shall see how they do.

WHY do I do this to myself?!?
Those Geese are playing you wind. 🤣

Let me go check the LGBT thread!

I'm the one that's going to be playing them soon!!! Probably go out and try to get some stuff done today before it rains again tonight. Everything is MUD! And it's going to be getting much colder this week. :(

Yup, the cold is settling in. And I'm short one heater this year (it died at the end of last winter). Not looking forward to the next week.

Geese are annoyed with me (more so than usual!). They were eating just outside their new Caboose so I snuck up and blocked the way with a pallet! :lau Now, they have no choice!

Got a bit more done today although it doesn't feel like much. I move the aviary that has the five Red Pyle OEGB over next to the trailer after I put down some wind break at the base. Took the opportunity to clean the aviary out and rearrange stuff inside.

I am sore from bending over and my hands hurt.

Sounds like you got a lot done today Wind!

Oops, day 3 not 4!

Will check again tomorrow on day 5.

Meanwhile, today I've been working on the 'roof' of the enclosure. Got one end secured and I need to reinforce the walls, since it occurred to me last night that depending on staples to hold that plastic sheeting in place is silly (it was windy last night).

Main issues I've run in today were the cold (bad for my arthritic hands), the ladder (afraid of heights PLUS the narrow rungs are hard on my sore foot) and the lack of a second person to help. Doing all of this myself is seriously taking way more time than it should and I am getting discouraged...
