That's because you've never had to. Believe me, if I could I would move to somewhere warmer!!

So, all my shopping has been done for the month. Piles of animal feed and a full fridge. Even got myself a desperately needed hair grooming tool and got rid of all the overgrown facial and head hair! (I lost my razor and my trimmer died a couple of years ago).

I no longer look like a wild bushman!

The one thing we didn't find was one of those diesel heaters. So I'm sitting here without all the insulating hair and freezing. Well, chilled anyhow. It's only 15c inside. Better than the temperature outside though.

Of COURSE my heater died overnight! Well, mostly died. it's barely sending out heat. it was 50f / 10c in here when I got up.

Horrible day out there. Snowy and windy. Even the geese are in their caboose!

Gave the ducks some fresh shavings, for which they were thankful. Chickens are huddled in their coops, too.

Oh, and I' getting a new bunny. I've gone a bit genetics crazy lately and saw these gorgeous deep red Flemish Giants online. They will deliver to me too, since I don't have my car right now. Probably get the new bun on the weekend.

Yeah, I've found the FG to be a very docile breed overall also. My main buck right now is a FG and I adore him.

Not getting this one due to breed, I want that COLOUR! LOL

They were neat. But always too much rabbit for me personally. My sweet spot is between a mini Rex and a quality harlequin. Maybe a NZ if they had real scruffs

I like them BIG! LOL! Well, the meat rabbits anyhow. Although I must admit, I love my mini rex!

I'm just going to use the FG to add size to the meat ones without messing the meat/bone ratio up too much. Also for added colour genetics because it's fun!
