Entry #2: Collecting and preserving the last of the garden always reminds me that it is fall…I know there is another contest for this, though, does it count?

Before everything gets wet from the rain that always seems to precede snow here, we have nice large bonfires to clean up the brush and leaves before winter.

(Not an entry.) In our area, we have summer and winter mostly. We sat out on our patio in the sun with wine in Oct. Then we count every day in Nov. a bonus before we get snow. This year it came Nov. 20

Last year we didn't get snow till x-mas or so. I spent the morning shoveling coop area.

We will x-country ski soon though.
