fastest chicken breed

hi, im new to the forum. I had a silly but interesting idea.... how would you go about breeding chickens for running speed? start with a malay?

p.s. chocobo racing from FF7 kinda got me thinking lol

and no im not a troll.... im genuinely wondering

If Chocobos are on the brain I'd start at Ostrich.

Never raced a chicken, but long legs would help.

See I was thinking was to start with a long legged powerful breed aka malay, and then introduce a long tail breed for balance, and breed for speed by making a run with treats at the end. Lol I didn't mean to ride on haha more like a greyhound race

I'd like to know which chickens to keep that might be able to outrun a fox. I've lost five chickens this year to a fox and have no idea what to do about it. Faster chickens?

I would forgo a running race and have my birds take to the air. I can train them to come to me in a hurry but would not be able to do it in the presence of strange chickens.

The long tailed but sounds like a kangaroo lol

I have lost 4 Chooks so far this year dam these foxes

Maybe not a Malay, but definitely a Malayoid. No need to cross to long tailed breed, long tailed breeds of Malayoid already exist. They have better night vision, and are hard wired to run, using dense cover to evade predators, rather than gravitating toward open areas to attempt flight, although the more naturally sized ones can fly quite well.
