Cherry pie, Apple pie, and pumpkin pie are the dessert staples for a family who doesn't like dessert but who will always make exceptions for pie. If you're at my grandmother's place, you can add lemon meringue and cheesecake topped with blueberries to that dessert menu. If you're at my place this year, you'll see a new addition to the usual trio: cranberry pie! Anyone who likes pecan pie can feel free to spend the holidays elsewhere.
