Favorite Holiday Meal: Side Dishes – What’s the Perfect Pairing?

Cornbread dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, green beans almondine AND green bean casserole (to make up for the fact that sweet potato casserole has no place on any holiday table, and green beans are twice as tasty as other vegetables so deserve to be represented twice), mashed potatoes, brown gravy, brussel sprouts (objectively 10,000 times tastier than any other veggie, but only represented once because I doubt 10,000 different brussel sprout sides would fit), and maple glazed carrots. But the star of all the sides is my grandmother's clover leaf yeast rolls. They make the house smell of yeast all week and taste as yeasty as they smell, and if you don't hide them they will all be eaten before the big holiday meal because no one can resist them.

Here's the trick to eating all these sides, though; you glop them on your plate and mix them all together, and eat the resulting mixture by scooping it up using the yeast rolls. Holiday side dishes are not proper holiday side dishes if they can't all come together to make something even better, like the Power Rangers' Megazord.
