I know its here somewhere, but I suck at searching for anything so....

Our CCs are getting HUGE! Hatch date was June 12th, we got em in the brooder on the 14th and have kept food in front of them since.
-They're now almost tripled in size and some are already getting to that "lazy" stage. My wife thinks one of em is injured, but it looks more like getting too big for the legs to me.
-Oh and they're about 30ish% feathered in now too. I'm thinking after the 4th they can go on pasture.

QUESTION: When should we switch to a once a day feeding schedule?

TIA
Tim

When I do Cornish cross I keep food and water with them 24/7 I don’t do the 12 on 12 off or whatever it is. Leave the food and water 24/7 it’ll be easier on you. They rarely eat at night anyway. I’ve done them both ways still raised em to 10 weeks either way. A lot of people will say oh this will give leg problems or heart attacks. Out of 500 birds I’ve had 2 heart attacks and 1 leg problem. I usually just raise mine in a 10x20 pen in the back yard that we slide length of the pen every week or so. I do 40-50 birds at a time.
