Feeding Dogs!

Our vet sends out a letter to tell us when to schedule and when its due.
They had their appointment on 5/10 i think so they will go in next year hopefully same time.
I get a little yellow slip for rabies that says what they got and when they need another.
Our old vet did but not this one lol

That's ridiculous - to have to register a pet. I also didn't realize there were higher fees for intact vs non intact, that's crazy too.

Back in our fostering days, when we lived on acreage in the country, we had an average of 24 fosters at any time, in addition to our own 6. No restrictions or limitations. All were well cared for and properly vetted of course so there was never any concern about neglect, etc. In fact the neighbors would come over when we acquired new fosters to see what we got and it was such a lively, fun place to hang out. Miss those days. Geez I feel old.
Read a story in the news about a guy who rescued a baby squirrel after its mother died.It was the mascot in an animal rescue he ran 7 yrs.The rescue was named after the squirrel too. Unfortunately he had a pet raccoon too so people who found out about it in another state notified authorities an complained so the state came and put both down.

Here intact dogs are $20 and spayed/neutered are $10. More than 4 dogs requires a kennel license. I only have one dog. But every town is different and it’s not statewide. For example, my brother lives next town over and has 3 dogs. They also have the more than 4 has special requirements rule BUT their fees are higher. Spayed/neutered is $15 and intact is $25. $25 is insane to me.
3 dollars here for spay neutered dogs. Intact is 8 dollars. 35 dollars for a Kennel license 0-12 dogs, and 3 dollars per dog over 12. No limit of dog numbers.

Thats a lot cheaper than here.
I know we pay $20 every year per dog but they are intact. Its $10 or $12 if fixed.
I don't know what a kennel license runs but dont need one.

We have a lot of dog sledding people in our state, so I'm sure they appreciate the kennel license.

Yes we do. WI has many dog sledding people and lots of breeders.
I know someone who just keeps 12 dogs mini pins, bostons, a english shepherd and a few rescues.

I forgot you were in Wisconsin too. Ours is much cheaper. We are rural. 12 dogs sounds nice to me.
