Feeding Wild Birds

They remind me of Pterodactyls in flight.
No kidding! One time several years ago I heard this horrible racket! I ran outside and saw about a dozen great blue herons hazing an eagles nest. It was surreal I can tell you that! Before cell phone video unfortunately. I’m glad you reminded me of that moment.

'My' turkeys were acting like this yesterday. Jostling, fanning, pecking, chasing - definitely more hyperactive than usual. It was rainy here, and they were a bit damp. I have seen cockerels go sort of nutty and start fighting when they become wet and look different. Wonder if that is what the turkeys were up to. One adult hen is constantly pecking/chasing the others, but the rest have been pretty mellow.

The little guy strutting was because my turkeys were on the other side of the fence.

Strange yr for Turkeys here. Had no Strutting Toms or hens with poults this past Spring. Usually have some Jakes milling around the field out back, this yr "0". In past yrs would have 20 +/- hens march through, you could set your watch by them. Don't know if Yotes, Fox or disease or a combination of the three is the cause.
