Dumb question, but do fertile eggs taste different than non fertile ones?

Personally the idea of eating a fertile egg creeps me out. (But for all I know I could be eating them now from the grocery store)

no taste difference at all... but the fresh ones do taste better then store bought shelved stuff!!! I can promise you that!!!

My husband hates to eat fertilized eggs as well even though there is no flavor difference - totally grosses him out. I guess it is all in the mind!

So lie to him. Let him eat say....three or four dozen fertile ones, then tell him.
There is no difference nutrition or taste-wise. You can only see the difference if you know what you are looking for and look close.
Most of the farmer's around here prefer to eat the fertile ones based on old-time myths about them being better for you.

LOL.....I THOUGHT that at one time....fertile eggs!

BUT that was BEFORE chickens.

The eggs taste GREAT (fertile/non fertile) no difference. BUT compared to the store bought ones....store bought are absolutely gross!

My son who used to have chickens of his own told me he didn't want to try duck eggs. I offered him some and he said no thanks. But he was here last weekend making me a new poultry house (he's an enabler) so I made lunch for him.
Egg salad.
Duck egg salad.
Fertilized duck eggs at that!
He loved it.

He's been eating fertilized eggs when his landlord's chickens lay enough. Landlords chickens have a rooster. He said he never even thought about the eggs being fertilized until someone asked if they tasted different.
