If you’d rather do Lafayette for LA for @Cheekychook12 that would be totally fine too, I just automatically think IN since we lived over there. When we lived there if I ever told someone we lived in Lafayette - without fail - they always thought I meant LAAhh! I gotta update the list! I love Lafayette for a name. For some reason always forget it's in Indiana (apparently I only remember the one in LA) even though we've gone to show choir competitions there).
I haven't candled yet. Admittedly, that's a lot of eggs to candle! But, also, I'm trying so hard to be patient! The plan is to candle for the first time on day 7 (Sunday)
Oh my gosh, I Love JimmySook as a name!Maryland, please! If it's a cockerel, it's Jimmy. A pullet would be Sookie - for Jimmy and Sook, the proper names for male & female Maryland Blue Crabs!
Funny story: We had a new Hampshire Red chick that we didn't know the gender of, just that it would be a red head. That was our Harry Potter clutch, so we chose either Ginny or Ron. Until we could tell the difference, the kids called her GinnyRon ... and it stuck! GinnyRon knew her name and would come when she was called .. sweetest chicken I've ever had!
So, I guess you could call the Maryland baby JimmiSook!
