Hey guys - just wanted to share something real quick that I thought might be helpful to any new chicken owners. My girls weren't liking anything I got for them, and I didn't know what to do. I searched and searched online, and my friend gifted me a Henny & Roo box this month, which came with feed called Chicken Chew. I figured might as well try it and crossed my fingers.
Lo and behold, my girls loved it. Gobbled it right up. I nearly cried I was so happy because it's been weeks of them not really loving their feed.
They tried each of the flavors, but really seemed to love the frisky flax flavor the best. And since they started eating it, our eggs have never tasted better and they're coming on a more regular basis.
I am so grateful to Chicken Chew.
I went onto their website www.myurbancoop.com and ordered more. I'm thinking of subscribing if my girls continue to eat this way.
I will say it is a tad pricier than I had hoped for, but I'm ok with it because it comes with oyster shells already mixed in, so I haven't had to purchase those separately.
Anyway, just wanted to share this with you because if you're chicks aren't loving their feed, you might want to give this one a try or if you're a newbie chicken mama like myself.
