That was a couple weeks ago. Her comb and wattles have really grown. Not like a rooster, but definitely bigger now. I forgot hens had biggish combs and wattles and I was confused for a bit lolBeautiful!

Ah ok! Thank you!!! You think her eggs will always be spotted? Not a one off thing? That would be cool, my kids loved the spots! It’s a red sex-link based off of that picture. My guess is not Sussex, but Delaware crossed which would explain the speckles.
They will stay speckled.Ah ok! Thank you!!! You think her eggs will always be spotted? Not a one off thing? That would be cool, my kids loved the spots!
Aww I love it, I’ve never seen a speckled egg. Look at my girls being all specialThey will stay speckled.
Y’all in the chicken know..all 4 of my girls are about the same age. Will the other 3 be laying soon or is it totally unique per chicken?Aww I love it, I’ve never seen a speckled egg. Look at my girls being all special
A roo that lays eggs, now that’s skill! Sheryl’s comb and wattles just shot out over night, I was like “stop it, suck those back in!” And my son said but mom don’t hens have those too?It depends on the chicken, but the others should follow within a month if they are the same breed/age.
Regarding the red comb and wattles, I have 2 BO, one of which I was convinced was a roo even after she laid eggs.
