With the high demand for chickens and major hatcheries nearly sold out, I recently went online to search for specific high-producing egg layers like ISA Browns, NovoGen, and other prolific breeds. Surprisingly, I found very few sources offering point-of-lay or already mature laying hens, e
Even day old chicks. I’d appreciate anyone who has any available especially if they are in or can ship to Utah.

One of the only places I came across that still has availability is Heavenly Acres Farms, located in Kemp, Texas. However, I haven’t been able to find any reviews about them.
If anyone has purchased from them or has any feedback, I’d love to hear your experience. Here’s their website: https://heavenlyacresfarms.com.

Looking forward to your insights!

Tractor Supply gets chicks from Hoover's. Hoover's has been closed to public orders since they sold out early this season, but they still supply Tractor Supply.
You could look on local Facebook chicken groups for chicks or hatching eggs. I went with hatching eggs this year and was able to get a dozen. If you want chicks you might need to be put on someone's waiting list.

Ideal poultry has some day-old chick availability in May/June if you don’t mind waiting a little bit, for some production breeds. Most places are sold out for the season.

Deer Run Farm in Maryland ships pullets and chicks and they have availability for orders starting in April. I've had good luck with their pullets. They're more expensive than Meyer/ Hoover, etc, but not much more. My birds have been very healthy. They only have about 5 different breeds though. Sadie Girl Farm, in NC, also still has chicks available and ships.

I don’t know if you are open to getting from breeders instead of a hatchery but Facebook groups and ksl are always good places to look. Although, I have found that the offerings seem to be pretty slim this year so far. There are some people who do runs to Whitings I believe and bring birds back for people.

@Yard Farmer Do you know of any Utah sources for layers?
