My husband used 2 large washers stacked on the sharp end of a screw between the studs . It lifts perfectly!Maybe something like a piano hinge.

Was coming here to suggest the same thing. Might need 2 based on the width of the nest boxesReplacing the existing hook closures with a hasp and carabiner like you have on the back of the double access doors would work.
What a beautiful coop! You have woHey everyone! We just finished our oiop last night. The girls spent their first night in it and seemed to do alright. I have a question on our nesting boxes. I feel like we need a different latch system, it seems like a racoon could easily open if they wanted, too. We don't have a lot of raccoons honestly being in a neighborhood. But, would love suggestions for a better latch. Pics of our coop and enclosed run.
