First attempt to hatch shipped eggs

If these were my eggs I would take them out of the carton to hatch

1) Air cells are stable
2) IF one should pip on the wrong end, you’d be better able to see and perhaps assist (if you are so inclined)

So happy for you and your success thus far … Hope they all make it out of lockdown

That’s wonderful! Well I’m hoping for at least some success. I guess I’ll know in a few weeks.

Update!!! I had pipping Saturday and Sunday. Overnight I had two hatch. The remaining 8 eggs had one with nothing yet. Possibly a no started. 7 eggs had a good start to hatch. Number 3 hatched at 8:30 this morning. I just checked and I have 6 total out of the shells.
Out of 12 I have 6 hatch. Two more are actually pipping. One no starter. Two were yolkers and discarded at lockdown. One zipped early but now it is weepin and yolks.

I can’t believe how great my hatch was on my shipped eggs!
I removed 2 at lockdown. Two unfortunately fully formed died in the shell. I am so happy that I ended up with 8 super cute chicks. I know I’m not out of the woods yet but every day they will have a better chance of survival.
