First egg - Giant Dewlap Toulouse

Very exciting news! I came home from work Monday evening and found this in the goose pen:

Look at the size of that egg! Ouch.

My geese hatched last April, so they are 10 months old. Truly a first egg ever.

I have more pictures but have kind of forgotten how to post them.

Fast forward to this morning, two days later. First thing this morning, I go to let the geese out. The gander is in a tizzy. He bit my finger! LOL (It didn't hurt too much.) Two of my girls, Gigi and Blondie, are in nest boxes, and the gander is marching back and forth, guarding them.

(Note: those are fake eggs in the 3rd nest box.)
