Often there's an underlying condition that is causing the hen to be lethargic and the system to slow down. Reproductive disorders, worms, infection, etc. are some common conditions that affect the overall health of the hen.
Some good news...her comb is turning red again, and her crop has hardly any liquid in it now. Also, she is eating more and is much less lethargic. I don´t know if it is just the clotramizole that has done the trick, or if the antibiotic helped with some underlying infection, as you suggested. Either way, Lulu seems to be on the mend. Yay!
