First hatch - nervous reck!

Please send good vibes my way. Has anyone hatched Cuckoo Marans? Are they slow or fast? I got 8 eggs from a local breeder. I also have 11 Polish through the mail in the bator. I am on day 20 and very nervous.

Did you candle them on day 18 when you stopped turning them? This gives you an idea of what might or might not hatch although it is always a guessing game.

Remember to boost the humidity to around 70%. Keep that bator closed. Don't be tempted to open it because when they start to pip and hatch the environment will change and it can cost you the hatch.

Keep us posted when you start to see pips.

Thanks! I didn't candle them at day 18 because I can't see much with the dark eggs - just bought a better flashlight for next hatch. I promise, I won't open the bator.

Day 21 - Nothing yet! I don't want to go to work (it gets in the way of the farming, but it supports my farming habit/addiction)

Thanks folks. Nothing yet. Have DD checking for me. The Cuckoo Marans came from one of our patients. She came in this AM and said not to worry. I can't help it.

Still nothing. No rocking; no pips. Please come out and play. My turkey eggs arrived today. Here we go again.
