Welp, we wimped out and ran an extension cord with heater + spy camera lol. It's dark out now and they're all nice and quiet, and the camera fell from its perch so already we can't spy on them lol

Do what you need to do to feel better. But don't worry, by your next batch of chicks you'll be leaving them out at 3 weeks overnight with those temps, no camera, no heat.
