Girls are tucked in...6 weeks old. Have been inside with lots of field trips out. I am locking them in the coop with food and water for the night. Low Temps are supposed to be around 40Ā°, they have been out to play at 50Ā° and higher. Should I put a heater in for them? They have pine and a box with one of our cuddle blankets in it. They have not used the brooder heater since about 3 weeks old, they would rather cuddle puddle. Inside Temps have been low around 65-70Ā° trying to get them to acclimate. I am so, so, so nervousšŸ¤®

I think they will be fine. I was so nervous this year about removing heat from the mama heating pad at four weeks (last time it was on for 8 weeks) but it has worked out fine. They already prefer the roost over the cave at 5 weeks and our nights have been in the low 40s.

I am a lot happier now, I shooed them into the box with the blanket and they are staying now that they know it is warmer in there.
