First Time Broody Hen Hatch-Along

Your hens are beautiful! And mommy with her little chicks is just adorable. I have a broody hen that’s almost done, five more days. I can’t wait!

Thank you!! All Orpingtons, blue, buff, one splash. Hatched 4 (incubator) and bought 4 chicks last year.

It is exciting! Can’t wait to see yours!! It’s the best feeling to see those little faces popping out of mom’s floof.

Started with 6 and have 2 left! Today is day 21!! I recently separated her in a dog kennel but in the coop. This is my first time, she went broody and I got fertilized eggs from a local lady. I hope to have them with the flock but will watch them close.

Oooh so excited!! Would love to see pics of the new nuggets.

This was my first time too, my hens just turned one year and I didn’t really know what to expect. Took the risk leaving them integrated since my broody hen is the top of the pecking order and thankfully it worked out.
