First time hatching chicks

We are on day 20. 4 hatched, one more pipped and possibly another pip. I will post pics later.

Ahh so exciting!! Sorry was at a hockey tournament all day! Exciting news! How are they all doing?

The four of them are doing great. I have one working on zipping now. So 5/12 so far.

One little one got too dry from being pipped over 24 hours. Had to help Rocky out with a good spritzing. Chuck still has something hanging from their vent area.

Otherwise they are all great.

I have a chicken named Rocky too! One of my copper marans hens (my son named her).

3/4 of mine had stuff hanging from their vent areas too, it came off within a few days.

We now have 5/12. We are going to wait another day before we move the chicks to the brooder.

Looks like only 5. The other 7 didn't make it. We candled them last night. 3 still looked possible, but nothing has happened. We are thrilled with the 5 we got.
