Black friday, yay!! I did find a cute game about poultry, I have never seen anything like it! View attachment 3998213View attachment 3998214Seems like it includes a lot of cute birds, so I bought it. I have a family member with chickens and ducks, so I thought she'd love this game.
We are very "into" board games & so are most of our family & friends so we have all age level games on hand to suit interests. Plus my DH is on staff at game conventions & he loves teaching new board or online games. I didn't think Wingspan would have interesting rules but the birds of the world intrigued me & we now have all the expansions plus extra 3D pieces to replace the paper/cardboard parts.Wingspan is good. When it first came out it was announced the plans were to release an expansion for every continent over the course of several years. I believe that leaves South America and Antarctica still in the works. My problem with Wingspan is that people who are into board games find it dull, and people who are not into board games find it too complicated. It hits a middle ground that doesn't have much overlap in the groups I play with.
A user on here, jajedo, actually designed and kickstarted their own backyard chickens themed game a while back, which I thought was really cool. I remember looking into buying it when I found out about it, but I never did; I can't remember why. It looked like fun.
This was a good post as I'm sure many chicken owners would love farm, poultry, duck, chicken games to play w/family.I love the illustrations, and how it's specifically poultry themed and not just chicken themed or more broadly bird themed. Very cool.
Neat, another chicken game out there! We are very "into" board games & so are most of our family & friends so we have all age level games on hand to suit interests. The Flock Together artwork alone is worth the game! So cute! & the more game pieces there are, the more interesting the game IMO ~ are there reading cards too in this game? Cards usually indicate a game that requires reading age levels.Neat, another chicken game out there!
My sole chicken focused game is Flock Together, which came in the mail awhile back from kickstarter.

I love the illustrator of Everdell, so when I saw he illustrated a chicken game I couldn't help myself. It's about chickens working together to oust predators from their territory. I haven't played it yet - a few other games were ahead of it in the queue - but it's solidly produced, packed to the brim with bits and pieces, and cute as can be. If it's even remotely good, I'll be happy.

Wonderful cooperative concept game! DH tells me it has very favorable reviews. There are cards that require reading, but Flock Together is a cooperative game - all the players are working together as a team to defeat the game. Since everyone is working together, there's no need for hiding cards and everyone can help with reading and understanding what actions are available, etc.
As a general rule, my family hated board games when I was growing up, so I have a lot of memories of setting up my stuffed animals and playing with them. It sounds like y'all have made some great family memories!
We trial played this card game w/ the expansion deck. Easy to play 20 minutes or so. Better w/ more than 2 players, 8+ age group but precocious younger may do OK. We take easy-to-carry card games w/ us whenever we go to sit-down fast food places like Legends or In-N-Out.We are very "into" board games & so are most of our family & friends so we have all age level games on hand to suit interests. Oh the stuffed animal thing is hilarious! My brother used to do that when we never wanted to play with him. There are cards that require reading, but Flock Together is a cooperative game - all the players are working together as a team to defeat the game.
