FOUND an orphaned Chick! Help!

My daughter found a tiny orphaned baby chick on her school grounds (definitely chicken or turkey although I wouldn't know how to ID it for sure). Of course we brought it home. We have it in a broader under a heat lamp with a stuffed animal to keep it "company" and plan to introduce it eventually to our backyard flock. Just wondering how to tell its age or breed? It is light yellow and has barely any feathers on its wings. It is about the length of my thumb. I was guessing less than a week old and we dont know how it made it all the way to her school! We are brand new to baby chicks and I know raising a single isn't ideal.. So I am open to any advice on helping this baby thrive. I also have an anxious hen that went broody then went crazy. And we keep her in a separate coop from the others. Would it be a huge risk to try to get her to "adopt" this baby? She is a spangled bantam.

Is your hen currently broody? If so, for how long?

If it's an EE my kids will die. They have been begging for one since Easter. Wouldn't that be destiny? (Which is also my vote on a name for the little booger since it was on a playground with 60+ kids and didn't get killed there or on the way there.)
