Ha! Surprise! Yeah it was NOT what I was expecting when I was pulling out a hand of mealworms to give my chicks either! But as long as they’ll be ok then I’m ok. They seem to be fine and I’ve been feeding them from this same bag for a while. Thanks!

I might say something to the company though. Not that it would do much. If it were my company, I know that I'd like to know about something like that happening.

Yeah. I would probably have as much luck as I did with trying to get a shipping company to answer for the 10ft KAYAK they lost mid-shipment last week! I mean! Cmon! How do you ‘loose’ a TEN FOOT KAYAK?! I hope it had holes in it so whoever decided they wanted it gets wet! Lol!

Chickens need to stop smoking, it’s bad for them. And besides, they aren’t old enough to smoke anyways. They need to be at least 18 to smoke legally, sorry all you underage chicken smokers out there.

The butt was probably mixed into whatever material you as used to grow the worms...I don’t imagine you need to discard the rest of the bag.

I just came from threads on feeding chickens food waste, compost, and fermented feed. The consensus seems to be these approaches are too “dirty”.

Guess I should be feeding my flock nice “clean” mass-produced bugs from China.
