Hi,
Not sure if I'm in the right section but I'll post anyway in the hopes of an answer.
My four year old Australorp cross has stopped laying. She recently recovered from her moult, has a lovely red crown and laid a couple of eggs then stopped.
She is also fluffing her feathers a lot (like they do after a dust bath) as if her skin is being irritated. She has scaley legs that have never recovered from a case of scaley leg mites treated many times. I brought her in for a leg soak and coconut oil of her legs, so took the opportunity to check her skin for irritation, fleas, and mites but found no evidence.
She is also being a bit aloof from the others, resting in long grass on her own.
She is eating, drinking and pooing normally.
Is this just old age or is this abnormal?
I look forward to any advice
