Fowl Pox?

Hi all! I went to check the flock today and I noticed a bump/granulation over our broody hen’s eye.. the rest of the guys and girls look fine, but I’m worried about her. She’s our hand-raised baby and we love her very much.

Is this fowl pox? Is it something else?

I know there’s no direct treatment for fowl pox, but if it is - any tips to help her feel better? Quarantine incoming with electrolytes and probiotics, but beyond that how can I help her?

Pics attached of her affected side and her good side for comparison (sorry for the quality, she was on her weekly water break and didn’t want to be photographed 😂). I’d also like to note that her comb and wattles have always been multicolor, that’s not a new development.

Does her comb and wattles normally have the blackish streaks? Looks like dried blood.

For the eye, it's hard to know what that is, looks like it may be some type of injury, but doesn't look like Fowl Pox to me.

If you have vet care, that would be a good idea. Otherwise, if she were mine, I'd clean the eye with saline, then apply Terramycin in the eye.

I’m relieved to hear it might not be pox, especially since she’s putting her resources towards incubating some eggs ❤️

Her wattles and comb have always had the dark patches, I think it’s part of her genetics as I saw her hatch and grow with those patterns. I’ll definitely treat with Terramycin, unfortunately vet is hard to find in my area but if I can find a practice that will take her I’d love to do so.

I thought the black may just be pigment, but thought I'd ask.

Possibly the eye problem is injury if she's broody and other hens can get near her, maybe pecked in the eye. Either way, I'd put some ointment in the eye and keep watch on it.
